Smart Cities Annual Conference
The Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform is set to hold its Annual Conference in Budapest on 5-6 June 2013, bringing together technology developers, city representatives, high-level financial managers and EU-level policy makers from across the European Union.
The Conference will present for the first time the results of the partnership and allow solution providers to showcase their ideas, make presentations and discuss the future of smart cities.
The programme is diverse and dynamic. On 5th June, the deployment potential and the integration of for technological solutions for smart cities will be discussed; 13 Keys to Innovation will be at the core of an animated debate between technology providers and potential users. High level speakers will contribute to the discussion with their experience and their international point of view. In particular, on 6th June, the exchange of opinions will focus on the 10 year Rolling Agenda; a long-term vision plan for smart cities and their future, while the session “How to plan and finance smarter cities?” will deal with the financial aspects of smart cities projects.
In addition to the already rich programme, the Annual Conference will also host a few side events not to be missed. On 5th June, DG MOVE, DG ENER and DG CONNECT invite you to the event “The Smart Cities and Communities Innovation Partnership”. The morning programme will continue with a CONCERTO Premium workshop “Learning from the EU CONCERTO initiative's 58 sustainable energy communities- economic, technological and policy lessons”
