Telehealth Companies See Investor Funding Jump in 2014 – The Doctor is Always In.

The promise of bringing the doctor’s office directly to one’s home or digital device is spurring a wave of investment into the growing telehealth market. According to CB Insights data, 2014 YTD has already seen the highest amount of funding of any year to the telehealth, or telemedicine, space since at least 2007.

Les résultats du projet européen "iStoppFalls", destiné à réduire les risques de chutes des personnes âgées, montrent qu'un programme de prévention assisté par différentes technologies protège dans la vie quotidienne le public ciblé. Le programme de prévention repose sur des technologies que les personnes âgées doivent pouvoir utiliser de manière autonome, afin de réduire leur risque de chutes. Le projet, coordonné par l'Université de Siegen (Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie), implique des acteurs de la recherche en Allemagne, en Espagne, aux Pays-Bas (Philips) et en Australie.

Gamgee has a good idea. The market is crowded with companies with apps that try to make sure people follow their post-operation instructions from their doctor. But not many are trying to help patients do what they’re supposed to do before they have procedures done.

That’s what Gamgee does, with a twist. The app focuses on establishing a speaking dialogue with the user. The company says it’s trying to “conversationalize” consumer health care information.

El objetivo de esta iniciativa, llamada E-Bizi, es desarrollar una plataforma tecnológica nueva que permita ofrecer nuevos servicios para estas personas con una atención personalizada que satisfaga tanto sus necesidades como sus gustos particulares y sus expectativas.
