RightHand Robotics, a data-driven, autonomous robotic picking solutions provider for order fulfilment, has secured US$66m (£49.5m) in Series C financing which it will use to grow both its product portfolio, partner network and team.

Scania to deploy ABB robots at automated battery assembly plant

Scania will invest more than SEK1bn (£81m) in the facility over several years and the new Södertälje plant is expected to be fully operational by 2023.

The18,000m2 facility will be built next to Scania’s chassis assembly plant and will be highly automated, from goods reception through production to delivery. It will assemble battery modules from cells supplied by Northvolt’s battery factory in Skellefteå, with the completed packs delivered directly to the vehicle assembly hall.

Airbus : 49 avions livrés en février

Airbus a fait le point sur son activité commerciale du mois de février 2022. Ainsi, le groupe aéronautique a livré 49 avions commerciaux le mois dernier à 32 clients. En parallèle, 113 nouvelles commandes ont été enregistrées. Sur les deux premiers mois de l’année, Airbus a livré 79 avions à 38 clients. Rappelons que le groupe entend livrer cette année 720 avions, contre 611 en 2021.

China’s daily aluminium output grows M-o-M to 105,000 tonnes in Feb’22 amid new operating capacities or resumption

China’s aluminium production in 28 days of February 2022 reflected a positive trend with a daily average output of 105,000 tonnes, up by 2,000 tonnes from 103,000 tonnes a month earlier. Total production in the month came in at 2.95 million tonnes versus 3.204 million tonnes in January (31 days).
