Airbus announces purchase of Eutelsat OneWeb’s stake in Satellite Constellation Manufacturing Joint Venture

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. announced  completion of a deal with Eutelsat OneWeb to purchase its 50% share of the Airbus OneWeb  Satellites (AOS) joint venture.  

Airbus is now the sole owner of AOS and the satellite manufacturing facility in Merritt Island,  Florida. 

The new structure is expected to provide maximum efficiency and increased competitiveness for commercial, institutional and national security space customers.  

Airbus reports share buyback transactions 18-20 December 2023

Airbus SE reports the following share buyback transactions under Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on market abuse (“EU Market Abuse Regulation”).


The transactions are part of a share buyback programme that started on 20 November 2023, in order to partially fund Airbus’ Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Airbus profits from long-haul flights rebound

 

Airbus is having a good week. The aircraft manufacturer is expected to report strong third-quarter financial results on Friday, October 28. It could also book a giant A350 order. Saudi Arabia, which is preparing to launch a new airline in the fourth quarter, is in "advanced discussions" with Airbus, the aircraft maker has suggested, to acquire 80 A350 long-haul aircraft, with 40 firm and 40 optional.
