These are the findings of the “Agriculture in Transition” study conducted by Continental together with the market research institute Innofact AG in the fall of 2023. 503 farmers from five countries were asked about their daily work, their concerns and challenges. The first results of the study were published at Agritechnica 2023. An analysis of the overall results shows that farmers around the world are not only open to sustainable change but consider it to be the most important task of all.
LG Chem Ltd. agreed to provide 24.7 trillion won ($18.6 billion) of cathode materials to General Motors under a long-term supply deal the companies inked Wednesday.
The agreement will see LG provide more than 500,000 tons of cathode materials to the U.S. carmaker from 2026. The materials will be produced from LG's plant in Tennessee and GM should be able to make around 5 million EVs using them, according to a statement from the South Korean company.

Stellantis Chairman John Elkann said the automaker had no merger plans in response to press speculation about a possible French-led combination with rival Renault
"There is no plan under consideration regarding merger operations with other manufacturers," Elkann said in a statement on Monday.

Spanish auto supplier Gestamp is planning to build a 460,000-square-foot plant in suburban Detroit that would employ 390 workers and feed parts to General Motors' Orion Assembly factory.
The company would occupy the build-to-suit development on a 42-acre plot at 52153 Sierra Drive in Chesterfield Township, Mich., according to a site plan submitted to the township. The plan allows for a 300,000-square-foot future expansion.
