Trenen industriarako DANOBAT soluzioak Expo 1520 erakustazokan

DANOBATek irailaren 11tik 14ra bitartean tren industriarako azkeneko garapen eta teknologiak aurkeztuko ditu Shcherbinka-ko (Mosku) “Expo 1520” Nazioarteko Ingeniaritza eta Teknologien 4. erakusketan.

DANOBATen tren industriarako soluzioak birakarientzako (ardatzak, gurpilak, muntatutako ardatzak, bogiak...) osagaien produkzio eta mantenimendurako giltza eskuan soluzioak eskaintzen dituzte, eta baita pieza horiek mekanizatzeko makina bakarrentzako soluzioak ere.

Here’s what connected cars will be doing by 2020.

Many of us dream of autonomous cars. Just imagine the relaxation of completely hands-free driving that is both seamless and safe, unlocking new time for us to work, talk, and learn while going from point A to point B.  A recent report from Telefónica Digital found the percentage of cars with built-in connectivity will jump from 10 percent today to 90 percent by 2020.

A Material That Could Make Solar Power “Dirt Cheap”

A new type of solar cell, made from a material that is dramatically cheaper to obtain and use than silicon, could generate as much power as today’s commodity solar cells.

Although the potential of the material is just starting to be understood, it has caught the attention of the world’s leading solar researchers, and several companies are already working to commercialize it.

Researchers developing the technology say that it could lead to solar panels that cost just 10 to 20 cents per watt. Solar panels now typically cost about 75 cents a watt, and the U.S. Department of Energy says 50 cents per watt will allow solar power to compete with fossil fuel.

African nations vow tougher stance on dumping of electronic waste.

African nations have called for continent-wide action to staunch the import of electronic waste, including old computers and mobile telephones from Europe where stringent environmental laws make exporting used goods cheaper than disposing of them at home.

In a document released this week, African countries that adopted an international convention on hazardous waste called for uniform action to end the import of discarded electronic goods containing dangerous components. In some cases, the products are sent as donations for reuse even though they are no longer useful.

La creación de empresas en Euskadi creció el 10 % en junio en Euskadi.

El pasado más de junio se crearon en el País Vasco un total de 266 empresas, lo que supone un aumento del 10,4 por ciento respecto de las constituidas el mismo mes del año anterior.

El Instituto Nacional de Estadística ha dado a conocer hoy que en el conjunto de Estado en junio se crearon 7.606 empresas, el 0,8 por ciento más que en el mismo mes de 2012, y se disolvieron 1.663, lo que supone un descenso del 0,5 %.

En Euskadi, desaparecieron en junio 96 empresas, el 8,6 por ciento menos que en junio de 2012.

GM’s plan to turn the car into a smartphone on wheels.

At CES in January both Ford and General Motors unveiled their connected car open development plans, but the two automakers couldn’t have been different in how they followed up. Ford immediately started pumping out new apps for its Sync AppLink platform, but GM kept quiet. It opened up its new developer portal to registrants, and that’s it; except for a promise to show us the fruits of its labors this fall in a few of its model year 2014 vehicles.

EU-backed project taps wastewater to produce biofuel alternative

Backed by EU financing, a Spanish water company this week produced its first crop of algae that will be used to manufacture biofuel as an alternative to the more controversial crop-based transport fuels.

The "All-gas" project will cultivate fast-growing micro-algae by using the nutrients in wastewater and then by further processes generate biomethane which can be captured and used in transport fuel.

The biomass obtained from the algae crop showed high energy potential with a methane production capacity of 200-300 litres of gas per kilogramme of biomass processed, water company FCC Aqualia said.
