Founded in 2008 after more than a decade of research at Stanford, Silicon Valley-based startup, Ayasdi, is on a mission to reinvent the methods by which we transform Big Data into actionable knowledge. Essentially, Ayasdi aims to automate the insight discovery process, allowing end users to find valuable intelligence within massive datasets almost instantaneously. Backed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Science Foundation, the startup’s novel synthesis of machine learning and data analysis technologies has not gone unnoticed by investors.

El Diputado de Promoción Económica, Imanol Pradales, y el vicepresidente de Innovación, Promoción y Conocimiento de la Corporación Mondragón, Javier Sotil, han presentado el convenio que facilitará la creación de nuevas empresas cooperativas en sectores industriales estratégicos como salud y “economía verde”. Mondragón Health y Mondragón EKO serán las dos plataformas corporativas bajo las que se desarrollarán las nuevas iniciativas empresariales.

Cheap natural gas allowed utilities to cut back on coal, the most “carbon-intense” fossil fuel used for power generation. But coal-fired power plants are not going away anytime soon in the U.S., and countries like China and India, which already burn half of the world’s coal, are leading in building new ones.
