Affiliated Distributors (AD), Wayne, Pa., announced that its owner–member sales were up 28% to $74.9 billion in 2022. AD reported that purchases by member companies from AD supplier partners were $20.3 billion.

Net distributions to owner/members reached $1.4 billion.

AD also reported that the member community grew to 866 separately owned independents across 14 divisions and three countries.

HMM Orders Nine Methanol-Powered Containerships for $1.2 Billion

South Korean shipping line HMM has placed a $1.2 billion order for nine 9,000 TEU capacity dual-fuel containerships powered by methanol.

The shipbuilding contracts were signed with Hyundai Samho Heaving Industries and HJ Shipbuilding and Construction, which will construct seven and two ships, respectively.

Online grocery sales in the U.S. will grow at a compound annual rate of 11.7% during the next five years, according to the 2023 Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Five-Year Grocery Sales Forecast.

The growth will result in online grocery increasing its share of total grocery sales to 13.6% in 2027, up from 11.2% in 2022, the survey projected.
