As workloads increase in the logistics industry due to the increase in electronic commerce (EC) businesses and the support for high-mix low-volume shipments, the constant labor shortage is becoming an issue. In response to this issue, Hitachi is working on the utilization of logistics robots and the evolution of the operational control of the entire center as well as promoting automation and streamlining.
