Following an invitation from German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, French President Emmanuel Macron made the first official French state visit to Germany in 24 years.
Working together to expedite technological innovations in the fields of battery cell and semiconductor technology: That is the aim of a comprehensive international collaboration program funded by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, with eight of its institutes, is their partner in Germany. On Wednesday, the collaboration was sealed with a letter of agreement and the opening of a coordination hub.

From May 1, 2024, Monika Landgraf will head the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft’s Science Communications section, which comprises the Science Policy, Press and Media, Corporate Media, and Multimedia and Brand Communications de-partments. The journalism graduate will also take over as Fraunhofer press officer and report directly to Prof. Hanselka in her role as the president’s spokesperson.
