Global wind power installations reached 92.5 GW in 2021, down 25% compared to 2020 but still above expectations thanks to offshore additions in China, UK research firm Rethink Energy said today.
The drop in 2021 installations is to a large part attributed to a flurry of Chinese activity at the end of 2020 ahead of approaching subsidy deadlines.
