Auto suppliers call in the robots as labor woes persist — but they only go so far

Manufacturers large and small are leaning on automation to address labor scarcity and wage inflation in the sector, but the robot rush has further exposed the underlying issue.

There aren't enough people to integrate them all, said Lou Finazzo, vice president of automotive at robot behemoth Fanuc Corp.
