Compared to the previous year’s reference period, revenue decreased slightly, while profitability (EBITA margin) showed a slight increase, and net income remained stable. Order intake dropped considerably from the high level of the first half of 2023 due to the continued absence of major capital investments by customers in the pulp & paper and metals industries. Order intake for services and green products continued to grow.
International technology group ANDRITZ saw a satisfactory business development in the first quarter of 2024.
The revenue decreased slightly, but profitability remained stable and net income increased slightly compared to the first quarter of 2023. While total order intake declined from the high level of the previous year, orders for green technologies went up.
In its constitutional meeting on April 8, the Supervisory Board of ANDRITZ AG elected Wolfgang Leitner as the new chairman and Elisabeth Stadler as his deputy.
This change follows the expiry of Alexander Leeb’s mandate as member and chairman of the ANDRITZ Supervisory Board.
Wolfgang Leitner has served on the ANDRITZ Supervisory Board since 2022, previously as deputy chairman. Elisabeth Stadler has been a Board member since 2024.
n 2023, international technology group ANDRITZ again achieved the best results in its history. Revenue increased to 8.7 billion EUR (up 15% from 2022), net income rose to 504 MEUR (+25%), and the operating result (EBITA) reached 742 MEUR (+14%). The comparable EBITA margin increased from 8.5% to 8.7%. Subject to the approval by the Annual General Meeting, shareholders will benefit from this excellent performance through a dividend increase to 2.50 EUR (2022: 2.10 EUR) per share.
