Billionaire, Tesla founder, and private space entrepreneur Elon Musk announced yesterday that Solar City, the solar installation company where he is chairman, plans to acquire a startup called Silevo for $200 million (plus up to $150 million more if the company meets certain goals). And with typical bravado, he also said that the company plans to build a huge factory to produce Silevo’s high-efficiency solar panels, a strategy he claims will make solar power “way cheaper” than power from fossil fuels.

University of Washington engineers have designed a low-power sensor that could be placed permanently in a person’s eye to track hard-to-measure changes in eye pressure. The sensor would be embedded with an artificial lens during cataract surgery and would detect pressure changes instantaneously, then transmit the data wirelessly using radio frequency waves.

Este concurso se integra en el programa de trabajo de KIMU BERRI, iniciativa de fomento del emprendimiento en Debagoiena, y está dirigido a los alumnos de 4º año del Grado de Comunicación Audiovisual.
Los 13 proyectos de fin de Grado fueron objeto de evaluación por parte de un jurado compuesto por representantes de empresas e instituciones, quienes seleccionaron los tres proyectos acreedores a los premios financiados por KIMU BERRI.
