A new Rock Health report says that halfway through 2014 more than $2.2B has been invested in digital health startups. That’s already more than the $1.97 billion invested in the space during all of 2013, and 2013 was a record year for funding in the space.

Zap Zap Fractions is an iPad and iPhone math app for children that manages to be both instructional and beautiful. When I saw the game demoed by its creators, Malaysia-based Visual Math Studio, at the recent Echelon event, I was impressed by its illustrations of aliens and spaceships, as well as its entertainment value.
