More connected devices are connecting with more databases and sharing more information than ever – and we’re just at the beginning of the data-gathering revolution that the Internet of Things will bring us. Unfortunately, according to security experts, Kaspersky Lab, that provides hackers with more opportunities to steal more data, especially from IoT devices that are essentially unprotected.

La patronal de la alimentación denuncia a Dia y Eroski.

La patronal de la alimentación, FIAB, ha anunciado este miércoles por la tarde que ha interpuesto una denuncia ante la CNMC yla Agencia de Información y Control Alimentarios (AICA) por considerar que la puesta en marcha del acuerdo de colaboración entre Dia y Eroski "podría vulnerar la ley de defensa de la competencia y la de medidas para mejorar el funcionamiento de la cadena alimentaria.

Acciona construirá una presa de 5.875 millones en Canadá.

Acciona Infraestructuras ha vuelto a hacerse con un macrocontrato en Canadá, donde la empresa pública BC Hydro la ha elegido como licitador preferente para llevar a cabo la obra civil del proyecto Clean Energy Site C. La española forma parte del consorcio Peace River Hydro Partners (PRHP), en el que tiene como socios a Petrowest Corporation y Samsung Canadá.

El proyecto, aprobado en diciembre del año pasado y con una inversión prevista de 8.300 millones de dólares canadienses (5.875 millones de euros), tiene como principal infraestructura una presa, que es la que ejecutará el consorcio de Acciona, junto a dos túneles de derivación y la cimentación de hormigón para la estación de generación y los aliviaderos.

Which is more likely to raise blood sugar levels: Sushi or ice cream? According to a new Israeli study, the answer varies from one person to another. The study, which continuously monitored blood sugar levels in 800 people for a week, revealed that the bodily response to similar foods was highly individual.

The study, called the Personalized Nutrition Project, was led by Prof. Eran Segal and Dr. Eran Elinav of the Weizmann Institute. It was published in the November 19 issue of the scientific journal Cell, and has since stirred up the medical community, which might have to rethink dietary recommendations.
