Dark matter is a hypothetical form of matter that is implied by gravitational effects that can't be explained by general relativity unless more matter is present in the universe than can be seen. It remains virtually as mysterious as it was nearly a century ago when first suggested by Dutch astronomer Jan Oort in 1932 to explain the so-called "missing mass" necessary for things like galaxies to clump together.

Karin Palmqvist will replace interim Site and Production Manager Johnny Sjöström, who will focus entirely on his role as Head of SSAB Special Steels.

The BENTELER electrical steel mill in Lingen celebrated its 50th anniversary with an anniversary event and family party at the weekend. Around 900 guests took part in the celebrations at the plant site. The anniversary event provided employees, neighbors and guests from politics and business an opportunity to reflect on the history and future of the site. The focus at the family party, on the other hand, was on fun for the families of current and former employees.
