To make more progress, the team needs to use another instrument, the Fine Guidance Sensor, to lock onto a guide star and keep the telescope pointed to high accuracy.

Volkswagen est finalement sorti du bois. Le constructeur automobile allemand a annoncé être en «discussions avancées» concernant une possible introduction en Bourse de sa marque de luxe Porsche AG. A cette fin, le groupe a négocié un accord cadre avec son actionnaire principal, la holding Porsche SE contrôlée par la famille Porsche-Piëch, qui sert de base à la préparation d'une telle opération. Le groupe de Wolfsburg précise qu’une décision finale n’a pas encore été prise.

2021 WAS ANOTHER YEAR OF TOUGH MARKET CONDITIONS

After a very low point of 70.7 million light vehicles (LVs) produced in 2020, heavily impacted by the emergent Covid-19 pandemic, worldwide automotive production had been expected to recover significantly in 2021: in February 2021, IHS Markit’s full-year forecast was 80.9 million LVs (+14% vs. 2020) and Faurecia’s assumption was a more cautious 76.6 million (+8% vs. 2020). In the event, worldwide automotive production amounted to only 73.4 million LVs in 2021, up only 3.8% year-on-year.

In 2021, worldwide automotive production* was strongly impacted by the semiconductor shortage and remained low for a second consecutive year at 73.4 million light vehicles (LVs), up only 3.8% vs. 2020, which had been heavily affected by the Covid-19 crisis.
