La Pologne demande à l'Allemagne des réparations de guerre d'une valeur de 1.300 milliards d'euros

La Pologne ne lâche rien, même en ces temps difficiles où l'on attend surtout des pays de l'Union européenne qu'ils avancent unis. Jaroslaw Kaczynski, le chef du parti Droit et Justice (PiS) au pouvoir, a déclaré qu'il allait demander à l'Allemagne la somme colossale de 6.200 milliards de zlotys (1.315 milliards d'euros), correspondant au coût estimé des dommages infligés au pays par l'Allemagne hitlérienne pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Renault : le géant du pétrole saoudien Aramco pourrait entrer dans le capital de l'entité « thermique »

Le géant pétrolier saoudien Saudi Aramco bientôt dans le capital de Renault ? Et plus précisément de l'entité de moteurs thermiques et hybrides, l'une des deux avec les activités électriques, qui doit voir le jour avec le projet de la direction de scinder le groupe ? C'est ce qu'indiquent ce jeudi nos confrères du Monde, précisant qu'Aramco pourrait travailler « sur l'après-pétrole et les carburants de synthèse ».

Aramco y Geely negocian con Renault para hacerse con el 60% de su negocio de coches de combustión

El fabricante de coches francés Renault está en conversaciones con la automovilística china Geely y con la petrolera saudí Aramco para venderles la mayor parte de su negocio de vehículos de combustión. Concretamente, según apuntan el medio francés Le Monde y la agencia Reuters, Aramco se haría con el 20% del negocio de motores térmicos y Geely se quedaría con el 40%. El 40% restante se mantendría en manos de Renault que, si bien seguiría siendo un accionista de peso, no tendría la mayoría accionarial.

Co-optation to Valeo Board of Directors

At its meeting held on July 26, 2022, and on the recommendation of the Governance, Appointments and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Valeo's Board of Directors unanimously decided to co-opt Alexandre Dayon as an independent director. Alexandre Dayon will replace C. Maury Devine, who resigned from her office effective that same day. He will serve out her remaining term of office, i.e. until the end of the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting convened to approve the financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2024.

 

XPeng Electric Car Sales Dropped Below 10,000 In August 2022

XPeng electric car sales continue to increase, but the rate of growth is slower and slower, which is quite interesting considering that the company was doing great even during the recent Chinese lockdowns.

In August, XPeng delivered 9,578 electric cars, which is 33% more than a year ago, but nowhere near the 100%, 200% or higher increases in the past.

The overwhelming majority of XPeng sales are in China.

California Suggests When To Charge Your EV Over Labor Day Weekend

As you may have heard, California just recently announced that it will ban the sale of new gas cars beginning in 2035. Now it will need to get its grid ready for the EV onslaught.

Thankfully, California has about 14 years to prepare for the possibility of all new car sales being electric by 2035. Over the course of the 14 years, the transition from gas cars to EVs can and will happen gradually. As more people begin to drive EVs, more charging stations will be needed.

VW Will Accelerate EV Shift Hoping To Overtake Tesla By 2025

Oliver Blume, Porsche Chief Executive and now also the new CEO of Volkswagen after Herbet Diess was forced to step down announced he wants to keep the manufacturer’s current path towards electrification and, where possible, increase its pace. The new VW boss noted that the automaker would need to find the right rhythm in which to make the shift to EVs so that it’s all as sustainable as possible and it also shouldn’t lose the company too much money in the process either.
