thyssenkrupp Uhde selected by ADNOC for exploration of commercial-scale ammonia cracking plant

thyssenkrupp Uhde and ADNOC have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore a long-term partnership to create new markets for hydrogen and promote global clean energy value chains. The MoU was signed on January 16, 2023, at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), and the agreement will focus on a joint project development of large-scale ammonia cracking, which is used to extract hydrogen from ammonia after transportation. The ammonia cracking process is based on globally proven uhde® reformer technology, which is applied in over 130 large-scale chemical plants across the world.

A RECORD YEAR FOR CAESAR ORDERS

The French and Lithuanian Defense ministers signed a technical arrangement for cooperation in the artillery field, including an order for 18 CAESAR 6X6 MkII for the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
The Czech Republic ordered 10 CAESAR 8X8 to complete the 52 systems ordered in 2021.
These contracts bring to 55 the number of CAESAR in all versions ordered in 2022 by 4 Nexter customers.

Changes in SSAB’s Group Executive Committee

Jonas Bergstrand, General Counsel at SSAB, has decided to leave SSAB to become General Counsel at Volvo Construction Equipment.

 

Jonas Bergstrand has been General Counsel and a member of SSAB's Group Executive Committee since 2006. In the meantime, he has also held several other important responsibilities at SSAB including strategy, purchasing and M&A.

GM to strengthen South Korean operations in 2023

General Motors (GM) said it planned to launch six new and upgraded models in South Korea this year, tying to reverse its recent loss of market share in an increasingly competitive market.

The US automaker said on Monday it planned to launch the redesigned Trax Crossover model in the first quarter of 2023 which it plans to assemble at its plant in Changwon, to be followed by the Cadillac Lyriq EV and other imported vehicles including a GMC model later in the year.
