Quantum entanglement in quasiparticles: A stealth mode against disorder

Physicists at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) have made a discovery that could boost the understanding of the role of entanglement in high-temperature copper oxide superconductors. The low-energy quasiparticles of these enigmatic quantum materials, so-called Zhang-Rice singlets, were found to be remarkably resilient against extreme disorder.

Stäubli Group appoints new Corporate Technology Officer

Stäubli, a global leader in industrial and mechatronic solutions, has appointed Aymeric Derville as its new Corporate Technology Officer (CTO) effective April 2024. He will succeed Patrick Iltis, who will retire from the position.

The innovation partnership between Festo and Würth has already lasted two years, and the first phase of the partnership is now coming to an end – with success: the prototype works. Würth wants to comprehensively test Festo's tailor-made AI software solution at the Reinhold Würth Innovation Center Curio, discuss it with employees and, if everything proves successful, implement it in its logistics centers worldwide.
